VirtualCareFinder is a free resource for patients. Here is how we sustain that work and how our business model relates to what you see on the site.
Affiliate referral fees
Some providers pay us a referral fee when you sign up through our links. This is the primary way we earn revenue. The fee is paid by the provider, not by you. Whether a provider pays us a referral fee has no effect on whether they are listed in the directory, how we rank them, or what we write about them.
Provider listing subscriptions
Providers may pay for a featured or premium listing tier to increase their visibility in the directory. Paid listing tiers give providers more prominent placement within search results. Any paid placement is clearly labeled. Upgrading to a paid tier does not change our editorial assessment of the provider.
Sponsored placement
Occasionally we may feature a sponsored placement within a page or article. Sponsored placements are always clearly labeled as sponsored. The content of sponsored placements is provided by the sponsor and does not reflect VirtualCareFinder's editorial assessment.
Editorial independence
Our editorial process is independent of our commercial relationships. Every provider in the directory is reviewed against published pricing, active telehealth service, and state licensing. Referral fees and listing subscriptions do not affect listing eligibility, ranking, or the content of our reviews. If we have a financial relationship with a provider we recommend, we disclose it.
